Father Joseph T. Szolack was born in Camden, New Jersey, growing up in Woodbury. He entered Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA after high school in 1979 and was ordained at Saint Joseph Pro-Cathedral by the Most Reverend George H. Guilfoyle on May 28, 1988. Father has a BA in philosophy with a Master of Divinity and Masters in theology. He served as an Assistant Pastor at Saint John, Collingswood and Holy Family, Sewell. Father taught at Camden Catholic High School, residing at Saint Peter, Merchantville. Father Szolack was then asked to work in priestly formation at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary followed by serving as the Vocation Director for the Diocese of Camden. Father returned to Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary when Cardinal Bevilacqua requested that Father serve as Dean of Men in the Theology Division. Upon returning to the Diocese of Camden, Father served as Administrator at Epiphany, Longport. On January 5, 2009 Father began his assignment as pastor of Saint Margaret Parish. Having been named convener for the merging parishes of Saint Margaret and Saint John Vianney, Father is the founding pastor of Infant Jesus Parish, Woodbury Heights, NJ. |
